Malossi Electronic Ignition Crankcase for Piaggio Bravo

MP-ONE CASINGS

Pair of die-cast, shot-peened silicon-aluminum alloy crankcases. An integral Malossi design with reed valve induction, controlled by a large 4-petal valve.
Available in 2 versions that cover the entire range of Piaggio and Gilera mopeds:

electronic ignition
points ignition
They can be used with any cylinder kit, exhaust system, crankshaft, and fuel system.

Malossi reed valve crankcases are perfectly interchangeable with the original ones and are equipped with a special intake manifold for the original carburetor or an SHA 13/13 carburetor.
A specific fuel system has been developed with a 19 mm carburetor and an E12 type air filter, complete with every detail for assembly.

Given the very limited installation space in Piaggio frames, it was necessary to create a super-compact engine, and the great effort of our technicians has once again been crowned with complete success.
The objectives achieved are: highly technical product, robustness, simplicity, ease of assembly, excellent operating result without modifications (everything connects as in the original engine).
The large 4-petal reed valve in composite fibers guarantees smooth and progressive induction that optimizes the torque curve starting from the lowest revs and allows maximum power to be delivered.

The gas passage has been completely revised thanks to a duct capable of ensuring a greater quantity of charge with fewer losses from the valve to the cylinder.

The introduction of two new gas guides in the area below the cylinder allows for more effective connection of the crankcase to high-performance cylinders.

The new volute, on the other hand, forces the gases to follow a calculated path directed more towards the cooling fins of the cylinder, ensuring the cylinder kit operates within optimal regimes, even in the most demanding conditions.

Crankcase assembly is now easier thanks to high-precision centering achieved through calibrated bushings and mechanically advanced housings, whose recesses completely embed the cylindrical head screws, which can be tightened with a simple Allen key.

To achieve significant torque and power values, the structure has been globally reinforced with targeted thickenings, especially in the most stressed areas.
The Malossi design greatly simplifies the task of tuners, and there is still plenty of room for the imagination of two-stroke engine enthusiasts who wish to showcase their technical skills.
